As I posted the other day I am sick that I had to put up my 93 but WOW I thought I was going to sit on the truck for a while taking alot less than what I put it up for. Well much to my suprise I put it up on Ebay and within 12 hrs it had 6 watchers and I thought let me park it out front with a sign yesterday and my cell rang all day. The very first guy who called. Called back 3 times thru the day and came over at 8:00 at night with his 2 kids drove it and bought it. Wow $6500.00 and no questions, the first phone call I still can't beleive it. It's sort of a mixed feeling thou I was really hoping it wouldn't sell and I would have that as my excuse to keep it. Another thing thats strange is I thought I would be excited to be able to go pick up the 97 now but I could really care less I already miss MY TRUCK...

Ford F-350 Dually Crew Cab 5-Sp 7.3 IDI Centurion Conversion. No mods, rebilt IP and replaced injectors. Used as personal driver and pulling my RV camper.
Planned upgrades are a new and better turbo and larger exhaust pipes than the 21/2s that are already under the rig/ would like a 6 spd tranny but dont know if that is a feasable or smart investment yet.

Was looking at your Ebay ad and noticed all glow plugs had been replaced. Did you do this yourself of have it done? I'm in need of having mine done but after research I see the tips could break off and become a real problem. I really don't want or have time to pull the heads.

Good job on the fast sell. Sorry to hear you miss it, but I'm also on the fence about selling mine. What do you think my chances are?
Fale Sale 93' F-350 Diesel XLT Crew cab 4x4, PW,PL,Cruise, Manual, sliding back glass. Truck has ranch hand bumper in front and rear with a 8000lbs winch in the front and I have a 12000lbs for the rear. 6" skyjacker lift, new 36"x12.5"x16.5" Super Swampers with less than 1k on them and also new wheels. Brand new warn premium lock outs less then 50mile with them on there. New Pop-up brand gooseneck hitch, pulled twice with it just to move my household goods (military.) CB in truck with PA, Sony CD player, Tool box.
Truck driveline has been completely gone through. I had a mechanic go through it to check it out before I drove it after I got home from overseas last year. He replace the rear wheel cylinders and brakes and I told him to change all bearings and races and to change the fluid. I replace the steering completely; had some play so I went ahead and changed it all so I would not have to worry about it (NAPA lifttime parts draglink, tie rods.) I also in the last year have replaced all balljoints and repacked new bearings in the front. Just replace the front driveshaft u-joints. Also repaced the lock outs with warn premiums. In January I replace all eight glow plugs I had two that were bad so I replaced them all. I have advanced the timing 4 degrees for more power. The truck has true duals on it with stopping behind the rear tires and they are turned out (not down) but can't be seen for behind. Sounds great! not to loud but not over bearing like most older diesels. The oil has been changed every 5k, and the fuel filter has been changed at the same time as well.
I've done many sets of glow plugs in all my trucks and (I'm probably jinxing myself) but have never had any troubles with the tips breaking off. I however would replace them about every 30,000 miles as not to have a problem. If your careful and unscrew them by hand and don't rip them out you shouldn't have a problem.
