There is an engine temp switch which allows power to the fast idle and timing advance... check those items cold engine key on..... they are located on the IP... all three wires should have power.
Also how long does the wait to start light stay on..... older models had problems in that area..... the GP controller stays on and fries the Glow plugs...... most members have modified their systems to a "push button operation".... do not use an on/off switch.
Ziggster's page has the how too just disregard the on/off switch, use a pushbutton. You will be required to test your GPs......
