Flex-a-Lite Cooling Fan

Anyone ever used the Flex-a-Lite cooling fan in place of the original fan/clutch assembly? If not, know of any rebuild kit or cheap supplier? A new clutch from Ford costs $350! Thanks for your time.

Get one from Napa. By comparing Napa's and Ford's clutch side by side they sure look like they're made by the same vendor.

Just looked on Napa's site. For my '91 the fan clutch is $169. Don't ya just love your friendly local Ford dealer?

Check out the fans from a Taurus. There a few guys running them with good results.

Notice that you will need two of the Taurus fans, and that setup only fits one of the two radiator styles available for these trucks.

Mark VIII (8) fan pulls almost as much as the factory fan. There is a HD fan clutch out there for around $200. You can get the Lincoln fan from Recycle yard, eBay, etc. & get a controller from Jegs, Summit, etc.
