Glow Plug Problems

I Have A 1986 F-350 With 6.9 And Banks Turbo, Ive Gone Threw 3 Sets Of Glowplugs In Six Months And I Hardly Drive The Truck, There Wired In Manually To Push Button And Ive Been Using Delco Which Blow, I Really Want To Switch It Back Over To Turn Key Glowplugs Because I Have 2 6.2l Diesels For Over A Year Never Had To Replace Gps They Start Right Up Everytime, My Problem Is I Hooked It Back To Turn Key Worked 2 Times Then Wont Work Anymore I Bought A New Gp Controller Still Wont Work!

I use Wellmans myself with a manual system on my '85 and still have the same set installed going on 2 years now. Should replace them but I'm still looking for an excuse to.

Check and ensure they are wired right......... also only 5-8 seconds max for the pushbutton operation. If you want upgrading to the Solid state system (87-94) and GPs is an option.
