IP Problems
I think I am having issues with my IP. Symptoms are that a week ago I was driving over to a friend's, when suddenly the truck had no power going up hills; it would stall frequently, especially when under load. At the time I thought it was a fuel issue, because I still had a bunch of biodiesel in the tank and it was cold that day.
Today, it was much warmer (and I added 20% D1 to the tank), but I started seeing similar symptoms when driving (turned around and took the car instead). It's not likely a fuel issue now with the thinned down fuel, so I am looking for an air leak or IP problem.
From memory, I recall the trick of replacing the return line with clear plastic to see if there are air bubbles in there. I also sortof recall taking to top cap off the IP to see if there is plastic floating around in there, but I thought there was some special way to reassemble the pump after doing this to avaiod a run-away problem.
Anyone recall the details of openning up the IP and putting it back together?
Any other suggested areas to look at for this problem?
TIA
