Lots of leaks

While looking at the loose right inner tie rod on my truck last night, I noticed almost everything is wet(oily). I know it has a power steering leak, but what else could be leaking? Should I get under it and tighten everything up?

Also, it's got a real slight coolant leak, I think where the upper raidator hose connects to the radiator. Is there a special stop leak for diesels or can I use anything? I've only added coolant to it once since I got it in May.

Would like to have a 3.54 geared rearend if anyone close to southwest Missouri would like to trade for a 4.10 geared rearend(Dana 60)

Thanks

Trevor in MO

Re: Lots of leaks

check your valve cover gaskets as they're a known leaking point. you can try to tighten them a bit, but a new pair Felpro's is only $10... i can get the part # & torque specs (not much) if you'd like.

i don't like adding that junk to my rad - i'd consider a new hose & clamps.

and NO, you can't have my 3.55s!

Re: Lots of leaks

I am gonna venture a guess and say that the oil you are seeing is the result of compression blow-by.

A drop will spread and look like a quart.
