I know, that's what you guys are all thinking especially for anyone who has been keeping track of my C-6 posts.
So this is the second tranny from what used to be Accurate, now call EX transmissions. It was working great, shifting good, downshifting when needed to, upshifting and holding 3rd very well.
Now, sometimes I put it into reverse, and it won't engage, I put it into drive and it won't engage. I have to put it into reverse and throttle it a little in order to get it to engage. Almost like it's not building enough pressure to engage the gears.
Any thoughts on my problem before I call for another transmission.

so long as whoever built the trans--has no leaks in the seals, sealing rings, or gaskets--its the valve body-----as ive seen a few of these messed up---make sure theres no oil present in the vac hose where it hooks to the mod--with engine off--if so--modulator has a hole in it---

I called the tranny company. The rep said that one of the valves is probably sticking. He suggested going to NAPA and getting an additive for it that they recomend. I can't remember the name, but it comes in three colors, red, blue, and black.
If I can't get this tranny to work, then I might pull it, have a shop inspect clearences/parts, and put a new valve bady in it.
I don't want to deal with this company any more.
Thanks for all the replies.

FWIW, you could remove the valve body yourself, it can be taken out without removing the transmission from the truck. You can take the valve/spring covers off one at a time and take the valves out, clean them really well, lube with new ATF, and put back together. I did this to mine, I spent maybe an hour with the valve body on the bench.

I was pretty sure I could take the body off pretty easily. If I have any more problems then I at least drop it out of there and have a look at it. I'm going to see what it does in the next month or so before winter. It needs to work if I'm going to plow, I can't afford to be trying to get it into gear when pushing snow.
