Rear Tank Gauges Not Reading

Good Morning All-
I have a 1985 Ford F-250 w/6.9L....
This morning after filling up, I noticed that the rear tank isn't reading normal.
In fact, after the fill up, it's still pointed well below the Empty-Mark....

Could someone steer me towards the best solution here...
Many Thanks

Check connections on the FSV (fuel selector valve) and the tank.......does the fuel get from the tank to the engine OK. Does the front tank indicate OK.........

Thanks- and will do....
I suspect it could have been awhile since I filled the rear tank up.
I just assumed there was 'some fuel' in there.
Yesterday afternoon, after I posted this question, I left for town when I noticed the rear gauge reading correctly.
Going up a hill and leveling off, the gauge would react....
so I went back to the truck stop and topped off both tanks and the gauge readings are reporting accurately now....
that's to say that the gauge's needle has swung over past the 'Full' Mark.

Again, thanks and I'll get under there in the morning to check the replies' notations.

On one of my tanks the sender seems to have a flat spot. When the level is just a little under full the gauge may read full or empty or be in a slow change between the two. When it is in the slow fall mode it looks like I am really burning the fuel.
After it hits about 7/8ths it works fine.
