stock ford rims

okay, now that i got rid of my 15" rims my one buddy has a set of 16", but they are the stock steel ones. dont look pretty but it will do. what is the biggest size tire you can fit on them? would 305/70/r16 fit?

If these are bare steel wheels (no tires on them), then just measure between the beads. If I had to guess (and I am, since I don't own a set of those), they're likely something like 16x9 or so. tirerack.com has a really good lookup tool for stuff like that. With a 9" wide rim, I wouldn't go past a 13" wide tire. 305mm is 12", so that should probably fit on the rim. The real question is will it clear both fender and frame when fully stuffed and at the lock.

16x8 is what they are, IIRC. I used to run 33x12.5x15" tires on 15x8" wheels on my old Chev, never had much issues with it.
