Tuning up the 6.9

Wondering if anyone around the sacramento area can held me get some extra powere out of my 6.9 i heard they dogged them down from the factory

It you have an 86 Turbo Diesel, then it is not a stock setup.

i know... but the only thing it has extra is the turbo but im wondering if there is other things to do for free or cheap to make it create more ponys and horeses

Depends on the exhaust your running. Also I see by your sig you have 35" tires. Auto tranny or stick? If you have the PYRO installed you might be able to mess with the IP ( turn the fuel up). Bigger tires take extra HP to get rolling, and they can be your worst enemy when you don't have that many ponies to give away. I am probably about a hour away and I don't go back to work until the 16th. I have a driveway and time....

its an automatic im getting the tranny rebuilt right now.... and ya i have a egt guage and everything

plus itll get him off this forum for a while lol
get a pyro and turn up the fuel
search on here for gp supertuning youll find some interesting reading
see if you have a restrictor plate and remove it (probally dont)

hey can you still help me turn it up and everythin i just got it back from the tranny shop and now i have 3.5 inch down pipe for 2 feet then 5 all the way back

Whats the highest your EGTs go right now? Anything over 1200 is pushing it. If your truck has not been had the timing checked I would have it checked and then if your EGTs are not getting really high you could turn up the pump. Here is an article explaining how to turn the pump up but be careful! "Fuel injection pump adjustment article"
