My advise is to buy a repair guide from your local autoparts store. That's how I learned how to repair mine. I don't think I can help though since mine is a 87.
I've done it but to TELL you how........not easy. Be patient, take time to think. Depending on how far you need to go, might be best to take it out. And yes they are the same on 86 and 91 that I know for sure. I think maybe LMChas a parts drawing in their catalog?
