Water in Manifold

So I took off the air filter housing to work on the fuel return lines and noticed that there was water down in the manifold. Maybe half a centimeter. I know the seal on the firewall is hardened and probably does no good. I can see a water line on the top of the air filter lid so I know it can collect there. The truck has been run in about two months. Also I used a pump and some small hose to suck out all the water I could find. I was able to get pretty deep on the passenger side of the manifold

Does anyone have any wisdom to share?

Pull all 8 glow plug out and disconnect the red wire from the injection pump and crank the engine over. This will blow the rest of the water out of the engine. If you were to try and start the engine without doing so you would most likely hydro lock the motor and possibly bend a rod.

I would change the oil to because if any water got past the rings into the crankcase its not going to be a good thing!
