15" Tires ???

Thinking about getting a new to me TT that has 15" tires of the Carlisle brand!!

What is the best 15" tire to put on a TT. Aprox. weight will be 8k loaded. I would perfer 16" but don't think they will fit without some kind of lift or axle flip.

Fire away......

Cooper Custom Trailer Plus is the best. Expensive, but you're worth it. They come in one size only - ST225/75R15D - and require 6" wide or wider wheels. If your trailer has a GVWR of 8,000 pounds, then it probably has smaller tires and the wheels aren't wide enough for the Custom Trailer Plus. When I changed tires on mine, I bought 5 new trailer wheels from www.southwestwheel.com to match the 5 new tires. The new wheels were only about $40 each.

If you don't want to buy new wheels, then you'll have to settle for second best. Which is the Cooper Custom Trailer (without the Plus) in size 205/75R15C. That's probably the size that came on your trailer. But in my experience that's not enough tire for an 8,000 pound trailer, so I upgraded tires and wheels on mine to ST225/75R15 on 6" wide wheels.
