1993 Ford F350 7.3L Diesel - How much can I tow? - Diesel Forum

I no longer have the owners manual and I can't tell from the door.... what can I "tow" with this truck? I have an older 6-horse that by itself weights 10,000# (that is what it says on the Title). I would only ever put 3 horses on it, at about 1200 to 1500# each (I have large horses). Plus equipment, but I could keep that to a minimum.

The hauling would only be locally around town (not to Flagstaff where I would have to haul up hill, and I know that would be too much)

How do I find out what my truck can safely tow?

Hello..

Our '93 F-250 was put over local government scales with a loaded 5th wheel travel trailer weighing nearly the 7000lbs. This left approx. 300 lbs before being over weight. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif[/img]
Your F350 will carry more , but I would suggest a dealership could run your VIN to get accurate figures for you.

<font color="green">I won't go into the communist legal mess; but, your truck is capable of pulling your horse-trailer, six horses, a ton of gear, and quite a bit more, providing you are up to the task.

We regularly pull 28' and 32' livestock trailers, loaded with cattle.

A normal cow will weigh more than a big horse; and, in the 32', we can get eighteen big old cows. </font>
