2000 Excursion...is there a flat 4 pin anywhere?

Hey guys-

Obviously I have the 7 pin round trailer plug, but I'm wondering if there is a flat 4 blade anywhere I can use? I just got rid of a Dodge Ram, and I bought a Hoppy kit that had the 7 round and 4 flat side by side.

I barely ever use the 4 flat, so I don't need to buy the kit (if they make it??) for this truck, but I'm wondering if Ford included a 4 blade somewhere I can use when I need it.

THANKS!

Re: 2000 Excursion...is there a flat 4 pin anywhere?

My 2000 and my 2001 f350's both had the 4 flat right next to the 7 pin on the same bracket. I would think the X came with the same set up, unless you bought the X used and someone added the 7 pin themselves because it didn't come with it from the factory. Yea, normally they are side by side, so your outlet is probably aftermarket. You can jsut buy an adaptor and keep in the truck for if you ever need to use a 4 flat.

Re: 2000 Excursion...is there a flat 4 pin anywhere?

The X only came with the 7 pin hitch mounted connector with a 7 to 4 pin plug in adapter usually in the glove box in a bag along with the pigtail to wire in the dash mounted brake controller.

Guess I'll be buying that Hoppy kit after all. It's only like $25 tho. Thanks

Re: 2000 Excursion...is there a flat 4 pin anywhere?

Just bought the adapter on eBay for $10 shipped. I was going to put the permanent 7 and 4 on, but it was over $30, and I almost never need the 4 pin.

Thanks!
