If you're talking about a 7-pin trailer tow plug, then yes, one of the wires is 12V key on power, usually used for trailer battery charging. On the 7-conductor cables you can buy, that wire is usually #10, with the rest being smaller gauge (higher number).

I believe that Ford's color code for the trailer charge circuit (truck side) is orange. On my truck, (and possibly yours) it's controlled by a relay under the hood.
