2005 F350, Putnam class V hitch fitment???

I have a 2005 F350 4x4.

I need a larger/stronger hitch than the factory rated 7500lbs model.
The putnam hitch is a 2' reciever and rated at 14K weight carrying and 16K lbs WD. Does anyone have any experince with this hitch or can recommend a better one?

Thanks,
Brian Moore

Re: 2005 F350, Putnam class V hitch fitment???

I have a Putnam Class V XDR.

It bolted right up on mine and, with another guy present to hold things in place, it was a 30 minute install.

But, I have a 2003. I suppose it's possible that the frame on your truck is different. I know they made it stronger for 2005. Just check to see that the bolt holes line up. Your local RV shop should know if it will or not. The one I went to was pretty good about this because they do some installations themselves.
