35x12.5x18 AT or MT with load range E/F.

I need to find a tire with a load range at least that of stock tires, but need an aggressive AT or MT tire due to being in/out of fields with trailer.
I currently have procomp extreme MT 35/12.5x18. I love the looks and the traction of the tire, but they only lasted ~12K before they are needing replacement. I thought about the 19.5" tires, but I don't like any of the wheels that i have seen.
Please give any suggestions on tire.

Re: 35x12.5x18 AT or MT with load range E/F.

I run 35-12.5-18 Toyo muds and I have 20k miles on them and they have a lot of tread left. They are load range E and I tow a lot with them.

What weights are you towing? I will look at those tires as well.
Thanks,

Re: 35x12.5x18 AT or MT with load range E/F.

The trailer that get the most miles on it is a 24ft. enclosed loaded with 3 ATVs and a Rhino, 2 generators, AC, 40 gal water, toilet, tool box, compressor, spare tires and parts, etc, etc. I have never weighed it but it has to be between 8-9k and it has a lot of tongue weight. I dont have any fancy hitches and it pulls it perfectly.

Re: 35x12.5x18 AT or MT with load range E/F.

I have 35x12.50 18 on my truck BFG AT and they are a D tire , but the load range in 3195#'s @ 50 psi max. I believe the stock ones i had were 3500? @80 psi and E rated Not much difference in weight cap.I love the BFG's best tire i have ever ran.

Re: 35x12.5x18 AT or MT with load range E/F.

Those Toyo's are tough and have heavy sidewalls. What is wrong with the ProCOmps? I was thinking of buying them and seeing you wore them out at 12K sounds insane! I got 60K out of my stock BFG Rugged Trails and 40K on my Nitto 20's and they are still good. I would cry blood if my thousand dollars in tires wore out in 12K!

I love my toyos got the 35x12.5x18 m/t. I have pulled 11k with a 2.2k truck camper in the bed no problem. Excelent traction in mud and snow and much quiter than many other m/t's.

I just took off a set of 35x13.5x18 Mickey Thompson® Baja Radial ATZ and at 3860lbs rateing they will handle anything!

Here are the specs.
5183LT325/65R1835X13.50R18LT127N79E3,860659.0-12.09.513.510.834.819/32

Great tires very quite unlike my 37" Toyos that I replaced them with...should have gotten 37" ATZ
Still have 85% tread left if your looking at used...PM me.

Cary

I run the BFG KO AT and Highly recomend them. I tow a lot, boat to powell in the summer and 12K 5th wheel year round.
My first set of BFGs were a load range D and I got 50k out of them before I replaced with current BFGs with the E load range. The E's do handle the 5th a bit better, but the wife hates riding in the truck empty anymore, even with the tires aired down for a better ride empty.

I dont know if you can get the BFGs in a load range E for that size wheel, but if you can I do recomend them.

Toyo also makes the MT's in 285/75R18 load range E. This comes out to 35.1''tall and 11.6''wide. This size is ideally suited for an 8'' rim which is the width of the factory Ford 18's. I am seriously considering this tire for my truck.

Thanks for posting about the toyo tires. That size has a 4080 lbs. weight cap., that is ~300lbs more than the Procomp.
