IMHO; it really depends on the 5'er. I took out a 4" lift and went down to standard size tires, and I still think the front end of the trailer is too much higher than the back. If I were to "flip my axle's" on my trailer, it would be fine. I really don't want to raise the trailer height, so I live with it.
X-Man is right as far as a perfect set-up goes. I would never have the set-up I have if I was pulling the trailer all over the place but I pretty much only take it out the desert and the river 6/8 times a year so most of the time on major hi-ways and by-ways. I do pay a higher price (fuel) for having the thing so high but it handles very well even in the wind. I concidering dropping the leaf springs on the Jake Plate and that will lower the thing 2" and get it a little more out of the air. I wouldn't be in this position if the wife didn't have to have that damn golf cart!

All trailers are different. I only have a 4 inch lift and some of the trailers I pull I am to tall. Others I have plenty of room. You wont know until you try.
