5th wheel lube plates

Has anyone used a lube plate on their 5th wheel? If so how did it work? I'm talking about something like this...... http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/r...lube-plate.htm

Re: 5th wheel lube plates

I have had them on my last 2 trailers and they work great. The one I have now is rectangular in shape and covers the entire hitch surface. It is held on by 2 rivets.

Teflon plate. Replaces the use of grease on your hitch. No more mess. Less than $10.00 and available at any RV dealer. Don't leave home without it.

Re: 5th wheel lube plates

They are great but don't forget to take it off the old 5th wheel and put it on the new one before heading out on a 3000 mile trip to the coast......don't ask!!
