5th Wheel Tire Rotation

The truck tires are rotated every 10K miles. Would appreciate opinions on rotating the tires on dual axel campers. Is this significantly benefical or is it just a nice think to do for peace of mind?

If you have dual tires you will see increased wear on the inside dual due to the crown of the road.

I am betting all it will do is give you peace of mind.

I would get them balanced if you are concerned about wear. Forget the rotation if you have a problem you will just screw up another tire.

To clarify; the truck tires are rotated every 10K, however the dual axel trailer tires are not. Yes; the trailer tires are balanced, but have not been rotated. Is it approprate (or even necessary) to rotate the trailer (5th wheel) tires?

Yes, rotate and balance. Ever changing loads and road conditions can cause uneven wear. The best thing is, when rotating and balancing on a regular basis, the beginning of a tread separation/tire failure is very noticeable before one blows and tears up your trailer.

The tire dealer can also check/monitor tread depth to head off problems and premature wear. Service the Wheel bearings at the same intervals as rotation, mine every 5K miles.
