7 pin trailer hook up short

I managed to back into a light pole and mashed the 7 pin hook up. I replaced the exterior cover which was broken and noticed that the orange auxilliary wire covering had been scraped off. I covered that with tape and reconnected everything.

The 20 amp fuze still blows every time i hook up to a trailer. (I'm an RV transporter so it's a different trailer every time).

Is that harness replaceable? And if so, is it a `plug and play' or do i have to re-wire everything?

TIA!

Hoppy Trailer Connector: 7-Pole Round Kit Part Number: 48465
At K auto parts store $17.00. I also know they are at R/V dealers and Camping World. It will come with the wiring diagram. I'd bet that you have a short across the connectors internally

If I remember right the 7 & 4 pin connectors are a pig tail, with a multi- connector on one end that is watertight..... Right above the left rear axle.....

I did the same darn thing in my F350, I went to ford to order a new 7pin with the factory harness so it was a plug and play deal, until they told me it was $165.00 , So I went to northern tools and bought a nice 7 pin and 4 pin like the factory one for $17.00.
Just get a test light and a helper and you can prob each wire and look for that signal and write it down and then unplug the ford harness and cut it close to old 7 pin and connect to new piece. (there is enough wire that you can still use the factory harness with the correct gauge wiring.
