I built my own tank , its about 60 gallons. I just used a ball value comeing out of the tank that is plumbed into the front tanks filler neck. Works great have never had any issues with it, there is a photo of it in my sig if interested

John,
If you've got a fat wallet give TransferFlow a looky. I've been running their 50 gallon combo tank/tool box and absolutely love it. I heave all my junk into the tool box, top if off and hit the trails for days at a time. Great product.
I'm not sure if this will help or not but I put a direct replacement tank in my 03 a 70 gallon from a company called Titan tanks in Utah 800 728-4982 I know they make them for a bunch of differnt years and also some bed type tanks etc. I'm no way afflicated with them but they did give me a great deal it was $675 delievered which was dealer cost which I think most everyone gets if they ask. They also offered to install for FREE if I wanted to drive to Bosie but for me too fair but install was not too bad.
Might be worth a phone call, not a transfer flow or big name brand but I was more than happy with quaility and service.
Mark

Firedude:
Did you put a filter on your extra tank? I did a similar tank and put an inline filter before going into the main tank. It didn't work. Not enough drop for the gravity feed I guess. Went straight pipe and it works great.
Thanks Jerry

Jerry, no I didnt use a filter, the bulk tank I fill the truck tanks from has two inline filters on it so I feel safe that there doing a good job, I just fill the regular front tank from the in-bed tank and plus it gets filtered a 3rd time up front

If you want a reasonalbe priced tank that is a tranfer tank, which can be also used as an in-line tank with a bit of modification, look here: Northern Tool
I bought a 91 gallon smooth aluminum tank, I think it's still on sale for 319.00 + shipping. I Just checked and it's still there on page 2 of Fuel Transfer.
Good luck.

I found a 100 gl. round side tank for a big truck on ebay. I have about 1 inch of clearance on each side and it sits about 4 inches above the bed. I wish it had been square but I make do. I plumbed it in as Firedude said but used a external trans filter (the spin on type for oil) and it works great. also I vented the tanks together and vented the bed tank separate. I started to come out the bottom of the tank and thought if I had a line rupture I would probably lose all the fuel in the tank, so I changed it and use the sciphel so I can turn it off with the valve whenever I want.

I did like Firedude did, made my own 12 gage steel 80 gallon tank, fed it like he did then later added a PTO cable from the cab actuator. I also added a spin-on filter ahead of the factory selector valve for added protection. See my Pic's if interested. Randy
