After market wheels

I need to upgrade my tires, I am currently running 315/75/16 BF goodrich d rated 3200 lbs weight rating I am going to a 285/65/18 E rated same brand weight rating about 3600 lbs weight capacity, but most aftermarket wheels are rated about 3200 lbs, my question is I am not going to make much progress going this way, unless I get a hub centric wheel, which I really do not want to do, only because of a nice set of wheels I can pickup for a decent price , but I am sure they are lug-centric wheels, my main question here is am I figuring right, my weak link is the rims ,so can I assume that I have a weight rating of 2 x 3200 lbs for 6400 lbs, which of course I am not going to do, or does it work that way, the reason for the guestions is that the new 5ver I have is going to have a pin weight somewhere between 2500-2800 lbs, depending on load in the 5ver
Any suggestions or caution would be appreciated, I do not want to be overloading my tire or wheel rating Thanks for any help

Don't spend your money on lug-centric wheels. They are cheap for a reason. They do not meet Ford specs for a wheel on a SuperDuty truck. They are substandard. They are dangerous. They can kill you. Or yours. Or someone else.

Either spend the money for the proper hub-centric wheels, or stay with smaller tires and the Ford OEM wheels. Weld and Alcoa make alloy wheels that are engineered for '99-'04 SuperDuty pickups and X-Cars. But read the fine print and be sure they are 8 on 170mm hole pattern with 4.93" center bore and with offset/inset for a '99-'04 SuperDuty/Excursion. Weld Racing Wheels – Forged Truck, SUV, Car, Motorcycle and Racing Wheels

Skrimping on wheels for your wonderful truck is dumb. Get the ones that are engineered for your truck. If the center bore is not 4.93", then the wheel is not engineered for your truck.

Everyone's heard the merit of 19.5's by now I'm sure. They are a huge improvement on my E350 which packs 6500# over the rear axle.
