On my 94 psd i have air bags with no over loads, i have a set of overloads on my 97 parts truck, should i put them on my 94 or just run the airbags for overloads?

Depends on what your going to use the truck for. I had air bags only on my '93 F250 4x4, for hauling a very heavy fifth wheel.
When I bought my '05 F350 4x4, I discovered that the pin weight from the trailer would cause one end of the leaf spring overloads to rest on it's frame bracket and the other end of the spring was 1/2" from touching it's frame bracket. Got a lot of spring slap while driving down the road. I removed the overload springs and installed air bags.
The ride, handling, and load adjustability is much better with air bags for my purposes. If your going to hauling 2k+ (tools, compressors, water tanks, etc)in the bed of your truck most of the time, then I'd probably go with overload springs.

1996 F-250 extended cab long box five speed. Home made Tymar, 203 Stat, 60 gal in bed fuel cell, 315/75's, no muffler, ebpv welded open 3" to 3" DP, Babies. 290K, still chugging, and still smoking when cold.
UPDATED 8/1/08 Replace so far. 1 LUK flywheel+clutch, 2 thermostats, 2 set of brakes, 1 set of calipers, 5 CPS, 3 sets of tires, 2 Transfer pumps, 1 Injector modual, 1 Computer, 2 Alt, 2 sets of batteries, 1 Water pump, 6 Belts, 1 PS hose, 2 Sets ball joints, 2 set u-joints, 2 carrier bearing, 2 Speed sensors, 1 oil pres sender, 1 temp sender, 4 sets of e-break cables, 1 front fuel tank, 2 rear fuel tanks, 2 set of glow plugs, 6 Glow plug relays, Oil galley o-rings, Turbo pedistal o-rings, EBPV o-rings, 3 sets of Injector O-rings, 1 Vac-pump, 1 new carpet.Total $$$ in repairs v/s miles driven = 3.0 cents per mile. Add fuel to that it jumps to 14.8 cents per mile over the life of the truck.
think i will just stay with the airbags, i see no point of spending time and putting the overloads, i hauled 3 cords of wet wood today (1 in truck and 2 on trailer), pumped the bags up and had no problems, still sat a little low but drove fine, whats the max psi that you should put in the bags? thanks

The max pressure depends on the brand and model, but my Air Lift brand is 100 lbs. I've never been near it.

Timbrens. No maintence, no worries, does not affect ride when it is unloaded. Ran them on the F-250 for years without issues. Would not doubt doing it again. Oh yeah, and they are cheaper..
