Anyone having problems with draw bars and Ford 2.5" receiver?

I recently used the receiver hitch on my 2005 F-350 for the first time. This is the 2.5" version.

The hitch pin would not go all the way through the drawbar! I had to hammer it through and gouged the hitch pin pretty bad. This drawbar has been used with a Ford 2" receiver and a Dodge 2" receiver no problem.

Anyone else had this problem?

Re: Anyone having problems with draw bars and Ford 2.5" receiver?

I have had similar problems with my receiver it is very tight I tend to do alot of wiggling to get the pin to slide through the 2.5 receiver the sleve and the draw bar. I assume that the hole will open up a little as it gets used.

Yep. The 2" receiver on my truck got a slobbering of grease before it ever got used. Works like a charm.
