Want to get some A/T tires, my M/T are wearing out and need to get some on a limited budget. Anyone have any reccomendations on place as well as brand?

It has been my experience that buying on line is cheaper, but by the time you add shipping costs (tires are awfully heavy), and mounting & balancing, you can buy them cheaper from a tire dealer. Not sure where you're from but if you have a Costco or Sam's club near you they've always got good prices, although neither one will put tires on that are larger than stock - if that is what you want, you'll need to pull them off the truck yourself and bring them in to them. I personally like my local Belle Tire, they've always done right by me and I bring them a lot of business.

Depends.
If you want Cooper or any brand made by Cooper (MasterCraft, ect.) then TireRack doesn't carry them. If you want Mickey Thompson or ProComp or other specialty off-road tires, TireRack doesn't carry them.
But if they have the tires you need, they might be cheaper out the door than buying locally - even after you add shipping and mounting and balancing.
My Honda Odyssey has uncommon-size tires. Sam's Club is almost always the best price in town for tires, and they have them for $137 each - plus tax. Yesterday I ordered 3 more from TireRack for $81 plus $14.31 shipping each = $95.31 each delivered to my door. Most tire places - including Sam's - will mount and balance them for $10 each, so that's $105.31 each compared to $137 plus tax each at Sam's Club.
My tires were "special price" at TireRack, but they've been that price for at least several months.
On the other hand, the Michelin XPS tires for my pickup were cheaper out-the-door at Sam's Club than from TireRack. So check the price and do the math before you decide.

Intersting. COSTCO used to mount and balance "other" tires for $10. Due to liability, they will mount and balance only their tires.
Most other places want over $20 to mount and balance a tire.

I'm a tirerack.com fan. Just compared prices/availability at costco, wal-mart, discount tire, ntb, etc. - even with shipping, taxes, install costs, tirerack.com worked out as a better deal on the 255/60-17s needed for my wife's suv. Having them shipped to a nearby installer on their list [second day delivery - unfortunately, from an in-state tirerack distribution center, so I'm paying state taxes], install cost $11.50 per wheel. Ordered today, expect 'em on the SUV on Saturday ....
