I lifted my truck 6" with 37" tires this winter and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to tow my 6 x 12 enclosed trailer come riding season.
Completely stock, I used a 4" drop hitch to keep my trailer level. With the change in lift and tire size, I estimate my truck is now 8.75" higher. That would mean I need a 12.75" drop hitch! I have not seen any out there longer than 9". Does anyone make a 13" drop hitch that will hold at least 4,000/400? Or do I need to start looking for a custom fabricator?

I did see one the other day that was more than 10". It was at a local 4x4 shop... I have a 10" aluminum drop hitch for my truck and it works great. I know they are out there...you might find it on ebay.
good luck,
Steven

There are some cheap looking 12" and 14" drop hitches for sale on ebay with 500TW/5,000GTW. But that's hard to believe considering their 2" drop hitches carry the same max 500TW/5,000GTW. Does this sound right?
I have a B&W 10" drop hitch with the 2" and 2 5/16th" balls on it. Rated at 10k...works great! I have a 18ft heavy equipment trailer that sits perfect on it.
Hmmm, don't know where my sig went, but I am running a 7" lift with 37's

Future mods, DePricol White Faced Gauges and a 24 volt inverter and power supply mounted in the bed,
I don't have as big of a lift as you, but I fabricated 4" spacers between my frame and receiver hitch. I actually cut some very thick-walled square steel tubing the length of the receiver hitch and drilled the mounting holes to match the receiver hitch. Used some longer expensive bolts from the local Cat dealership.
I actually did this to drop the receiver hitch below my dropped bumper, I just didn't trust that thing with my heavy loads, but if you did it, it would get you 4" closer to where you need to be.

Never been in the shop in it's life!!!
I just fabricated 1 1/2" lift blocks for my trailer. I needed to get some tire clearance in the fender wells. I used three pieces of 1/2" flat bar 2" wide. Drilled a 5/8" hole in two pieces, welded a 1" piece if 5/8" round bar in the hole flush with one side. Placed the piece with no holes in the center. Welded up the sides of the three pieces. Ground the sides flat and made notches for the U bolts because the springs are 1 3/4" inch wide. Metal was $36 to buy, the U bolts were $114(WOW!!!!), Custom made because of the length required.
Back to your question, YES,, above is one way to lift your trailer. I did it yesterday. Installing the 4" lift on the truck starting today...
