Thats a good weight rating

Central Dispatch= only when we have too, (remember we haul for Toyota and Mercedes ) either its priced fair and gone in seconds or its dirt cheap and you can't afford to haul it.

Remember, your running a business here, you need to account for loan payments (and if you're buying a brand new trailer...), insurance, fuel, maintenance, repair costs, road taxes, Fuel taxes and most importantly YOUR TIME!!

Good Luck

I thought the road tax and fuel surcharge was just on units over a certain length or weight is it for everyone transporting? Boy with the insurance being 2500 a year and trailer payments sounds like it can be a little bit of a headache. The guy that i was going to buy the trailer from told me that i would not need to stop at the weigh station or run a log book kinda sounds like he is just trying to sell a trailer. I am in the process of getting my cdl i have already passed my written and have my permit. You have really been helpful and if you can think of anything else that will help i would GREATLY APPRECIATE IT Thanks

You definitely need to run with someone who knows the ropes. It changes from state to state. It is always good to avoid scales but be careful you can get a big fine if you get caught in some states. Some states have an attitude about trailers that put the center of gravity to high on a rig that wasn't really designed to haul commercially. Also some guy's are out there breaking all the rules but they have a lot of experience that allows them to get away with it. And the rules are never ending. If you can figure out how to make a living at it without a CDL you are better off. But due to weight restrictions that isn't easy to do.
