in bed 6 pin electrical hook up for horse / stock trailer question?

Anybody try hooking up an in bed 6 pin electrical hookup?
Just got my new 2006 6.0! and installed a B&W gooseneck hitch yesterday. Anyway, I'd like to install an in bed connection so that I don't have to deal with an adapter to the under bumper connection, plus if you've towed a lot, it's pretty convenient to have the hook up right there in the bed. Anyway, do I need to get a pig tail and tap into the existing wiring harness? I can't remember exactly but with my old 2001 7.3, I think an extra pigtail existed and just had to buy the 6 pin fixture and screw it into the bed? Maybe I'm wrong?
I looked for one today beneath the new rig but can't find an aux. harness anywhere and before I go hacking into the existing one, I though I'd ask the forum first. Anyone install an in bed connection?

Thanks for the help fella's!
On a side note, I love the new 6.0 it runs like a raped ape! All my worries about going from the 7.3 to the 6.0 have all but vanished! Can't wait to tow some cattle with it! I'm impressed with how it performs at 9,000 ft. up here in the rockies! The 20" wheels are pretty nice too. Only time will tell how she holds up to the old reliable 7.3, but for now I'm sure liking that new car smell and the sound of a fresh turbo! Nothing like a new rig......

Cheers PSDer's, we'll C Ya~

pretty sure you will have to splice in to your existing harness under your truck.

If you already have the plug under the reciever then yes you have to splice. the easyest way is to get a 7 pole box and run the plug wires into it and the make harness out to the other plugs. think about putting in a 7 plug and changing the 6 off of your trailer .
