Brake Controller

My brake controller works fine when hauling my 20 ft gooseneck but when I unplug it and get in my truck it shows that it is still connected and shows voltage when I hit the brake on the controller and when I hit the truck brakes. Thanks for your opinions

check your plug and your wiring you may have a bad ground or brake wire touching the ground. one strand will cause a connection.
