My brake controller works fine when hauling my 20 ft gooseneck but when I unplug it and get in my truck it shows that it is still connected and shows voltage when I hit the brake on the controller and when I hit the truck brakes. Thanks for your opinions

Stock. Will be adding to make it my road tow vehicle to Vegas. Just added 31 row 6.0 cooler with Isspro tranny temp gauge and steering column mount.
