Brake controller wiring question

Just bought the Jordan 2020 Ultima. I have a 99 F250 and have located a harness under the dash to the right of the fuse panel cover. It has a loose Blue, Red, and White wire. Same colors coming out of the Jordan unit. Is this a direct hokk up color to color. I checked the red truck wire and it is not hot with or without the ignition on. Am I on the right set of truck wires? Should the Red wire be hot? The Jordan instructions show the red to battery hot, White to ground and Blue to trailer brake. Some one guide me please.

Re: Brake controller wiring question

The loose wires are the wrong ones. Those wires pass through the firewall and are loose on the other side also. Don't ask me why they did that.

Go to www.pirate4x4.com/forum and go to the tow rig section. Top of the forum is a sticky called "Got Brakes?". There are pictures in there of what you need to do.

Re: Brake controller wiring question

Thanks, I found the plug for the controller under the dash next to the customer access wires. I appreciate your help.
