brake controllers

I know that Brake smart is the best brake controller. But I've been on their waiting list for more than 6 months, and I need a new brake controller. I want your guys opinion on which one is the next best to the Brake smart. TIA, Carl.

Re: brake controllers

I would say Jordan Ultima 2020 controller is next best but it is a bit more work to install it.You might go with a Tekonsha prodigy and be able to resell it when BrakeSmart becomes available in the near (?) future.

Re: brake controllers

I've done several 2020's. They are very simple to install as long as you follow instructions and don't bent the cable into pretzels.

Re: brake controllers

I personally use a prodigy and love it. It takes very little adjusting and once you're done I pretty much forget it. Friend of mine works for camping world and he talked me into it(I was going to get a sentinel) and I'm glad he did. Just my$.02.

Re: brake controllers

Haven't used a Prodigy or Brake-Smart but I couldn't be happier with my Jordan 2020, does exactly what I want everytime.
