Breakaway Switch

I was wondering where you guys are attaching your breakaway switch wire to on your trucks?

Do you run the wire through one of your safety chains, or just attach it right to the truck someplace?

Thanks!

Re: Breakaway Switch

I thread mine through a few links of the chain just to keep it from flopping around and catching on something. I then hook it with a separate connector to the little rings located under the bumper close to the ball. If you don't have these you still need to connect it somewhere separate from the chains.

Re: Breakaway Switch

I attach mine to the rings under the bumper like the previous poster. My switch has a loop in the end, so I just thread it through the ring and then reattach the switch to the box (TAP).
