J.C Whitney has class III or IV for a good price. They show "hidden hitch" and "curt" I don't know anything about curt but haven't heard anything bad about hidden hitch. the price for the class IV is only $30.00 more and you might as well have more than you need rather than need it once and not have it.

Yeah, JCWhitney is a decent source.

Hidden Hitch is the same as Reese and Drawtite. They all 3 make the TowBeast class V receiver.

Curt is a lesser brand, but seems to have good products.

Curt Class V Receivers : JC Whitney

Hidden Hitch Class V Tow Beast Receivers : JC Whitney

Equal-i-zer Hitch Store: Hitches

I have the equalizer hitch, and it works well for me. It comes in a range of sizes from 6,000 lbs to 14,000 lbs.

There quite a few distributors in California.

What we have here is a failure to communicate.

The OP said "Class 5 hitch", but I'm pretty sure he meant "class V receiver".

The Equal-I-Zer is a weight-distributing hitch, but it won't work unless the truck has a receiver.

However if he needs both a receiver and a hitch, you took care of him.
