I have an '05 F350 CC 6.0 SRW truck with 11.5K weight package.
I don't know the exact curb weight...but I think it is around 7K wet??
Why then does my camper certificate say that cargo should not exceed 2,786lbs??? That will barely take a small 8' camper plus people/cargo. Doesn't make sense.
If gvwr is 11.5K and vehicle is 7K, shouldn't I have 4.5K to work with??? Somebody explain this to me please....and what is the weight of an F350 6.0 crew cab???

If it's a 4x2 CrewCab PSD longbed, then you're close. If it's a 4x4, add another 400 to 500 pounds.

Subtract driver and one passenger for each seat. Total 900 pounds. Subtract a coupla hundred pounds for additional tools and jacks behind the back seat, and a glovebox and console full of "stuff". And a cooler in the back floorboard.
11,500 minus 2,876 means your truck could weigh as much as 8,624 with driver, passengers, and "stuff" before you load on the wet camper that grosses 2,876 pounds not including people and the stuff in the cab.
If your truck is a 4x4, then 8,624 is not unreasonable with a cab full of folks.
SRWs were never meant for hauling much more than a small slide-in camper. If you want to haul a "real" camper, you'll need a Dooley. Or maybe even an F-450 or F-550.
To get a better idea of where you stand, load the truck down with all the people and tools and stuff you'll have with you on the road. Go to a truckstop with a CAT scale and fill up with diesel. Then weigh the wet and loaded truck. Subtract that wet and loaded weight from 11,500 and that will give you the gross weight of any camper you can haul without being overloaded.

They figure 150lbs in every seat. You may be the first 2005 to get on the scale with that configuration and "every option" other than the moon. Even the two tone paint adds a few pounds.
FYI I just had my truck weighed, it"s a 4x4 LB full fuel and me in the seat (178) the truck scaled at 8100#. Not exactly a light weight. There were no tools, just empty box and the hitch. Cliff
