EZ-Hitch "The best towing accessory ever!"

The first obstacle to hooking up. My wife,
whom I love dearly (and who may read this post), would stand
alongside our van, guiding me over the ever elusive trailer hitch
ball, only to tell me that I needed to be an inch in one direction or
the other. Major marital strife.
Just before our vacation in July, I found an item
called the EZ-Hitch and the best price on the web.
EZ-Hitch Trailer Guide Link

I had seen them on the Internet, but did not know anyone who had used one. Well, knowing
that I could take it back if I did not like it, I purchased one. It
is the greatest accessory I have ever purchased. I could get close,
but not quite over the ball. However, with the EZ-Hitch, I slowly
back up and make contact with the trailer tongue. By the time I hear
the metal contact, the tongue has glided in place over the ball. I
set the brake, get out, and lower the tongue onto the ball. It is
that simple. It is now a one-person job, with no stress.

The installation was quite simple and only required removing and
reinstalling the hitch ball. Though the board could use as it is the
greatest purchase I've made in a long time.
I've posted a picture in the photo album for anyone interested or
all can review at their website. Just put "ezhitch in any search
engine.

That is why I started sending me wife into the house whenever it is time to hook up the trailer. Much faster just to do it myself then to have her "help" me.

Re: EZ-Hitch "The best towing accessory ever!"

I would rather get out a thousand times than have my wife anywhere near me when getting a trailer.

I hope you don't sell those things.

Re: EZ-Hitch "The best towing accessory ever!"

You guys are funny, but how true. I let her think she is giving directions, then just put it in the right place. My wife can't pull her Honda into the garage in a straight line. Funniest thing I have ever seen, she S-turns into the garage and then back out. She doesn't get it when I tell her to pull straight in and then straight out; don't turn the wheels. Must be a female thing. Of course, if they ever see this there will quite a number of male issues to discuss; then we will be in real trouble. Gotta love em.

After years of fighting her stubborn German genes, my wife has finally admitted defeat and now leaves voluntarily.

Before that, she "insisted" on helping me despite my begging pleas to please go away.

Scott I must be married to your wifes sister Mine couldn't back up in a straight line if her life depended on it, but I still love her in a s-turn kinda way

Mine leaves me alone when I'm hooking up to the boat just like I leave her alone when she's loading it up.

Just in case she reads this...I love you honey

Re: EZ-Hitch "The best towing accessory ever!"

Used one for along time. As mentioned, no more help needed.

FWIW...tip..I mounted a little level (horizontal) on inside of tongue, close to my screw/jack, easy to see. Small one that has hole of each end for attaching. Use only one screw or ? so you can move level up/down. Drill small hole for small screw or ?

When I jack up tongue and ball is clear, I move that level till it reads "level". Put enough tension on screw so level stays in place but still can move by hand. When I go to hitch up, I just crank jack till level reads "level". Takes guess work out of how much to crank.

Good luck...OT

1/8" hole. Then, phillips s.metal screw worked for me. Use washer/w screw or (forgot name) screw that has washer shaped head. JMO!

Good luck...OT

Re: EZ-Hitch "The best towing accessory ever!"

Okay, you guys! I promise I won't tell on ya', if you will answer an inquiring question - I've seen those for years, but have wondered what kind of "reaction/pull/bend,etc." happens if you are a little too far off, and your trailer has to MOVE, etc. to get hitched up with the EZ-Hitch.

Being "precise" when I hitch up, there IS no play - hence I've never worried about bending my trailer hitch (side-to-side play) and wrenching the heck out of it. What happens with the EZ-Hitch? Can you "jerk stuff around" a little too much with it? My trailer sits really high in order to hitch up.

Thanks.

Facts are facts. My wife couldn't see a straight line if I used a chalk line . . . and I've told her that.
