F450/F550 Springs in an F350

Hey guys,

Trying to see if you guys could help me out. My brother has a 2001 F350 Crew Cab Long Bed Dually and tows a BriMar 7X14 HD dump trailer full of concrete, pavers, gravel or other heavy junk daily. Point is everything he tows is extremely heavy, plus the trailer itself weighs in around 4,500 pounds.

For some reaon he doesn"t want to get airbags, he doesn't want the hassle of all the lines running underneath and he really doesn't care about ride quality, he likes the simpleness of just adding or replacing springs. Ive tried to persuade him, its just not worth my time, so lets try not to even bring that up.

The real question is, Is it possible to install any 450 or 550 rear springs will fit in his truck to stop it from squatting so much and if not are there comparable aftermarket springs out there that will fit in his truck. If so where can he get them from? Thanks so much for reading hopefully you will be able to help!

Cody

Chassis cab rear springs won't fit a pickup.

Any decent spring shop should be able to install a heavier rear spring pack that will fit. There should be at least one good spring shop in the DC area, or at most you may have to go to the Baltimore area.

Have him put on a set of these. Very easy to install. I had aset on my 05 and loved them.

Get a bigger truck, in the long run a chassis built for that amount of weight will yield better profit margins.

Air ride

I installed the Kelderman air ride several years ago and I really like it. I add air as I need it just pull up to the air pump and add depending on how much weight you are pulling.
Go to Kelderman Air Ride.

Good luck
