Question Fifth-Wheel hitch recommendations?

Looking for recommendations on hitches.

This is to go in my 2005 F-250 PSD Lariat Crew-Cab, short bed, with the factory tow pkg (+ brake commander) installed. No suspension upgrades (so far). 15/16K should be enough for my limited needs.

I would like to have something with the minimum of bed intrusion since most of the time I won't be towing, so I'd like to remove the hitch itself and leave as little behind as possible.

Thanks in advance.

You might look at the Reese Signature Series 16K Slider with the underbed mount. It supposed to keep the bed clear of rails. It's a little spendy, but probably worth it considering the PITA the cross bed rails can be.

They make a 5er hitch 'specially for you. When you remove the hitch, nothing remains in the bed but a small hole. And you can cover that hole with a custom plug.

It's called the Companion 5er hitch for the B&W Turnover Ball. Not cheap, but you're worth it. B&W Custom Truck Beds, Inc.#

I have a Pullrite Automatic Slider and its great. I highly recommend it. It is pricey, but a lot less than the alternative of hitting your cab.

Thumbs up Pullrite Slider

I have a 2006 KR SB SR CC and this is the best recommendation I could give you you. I pull a 34' Cameo Carriage and it is great.I'm an old F--t and I would surely put a dent in my cab if I didn't have it. Bill
