It appears Firestone airbags with B&W hitch are avaible only from 1999 thru 2007.
However if the 1997 is the same as the 1999 then they would work; however slight changes in the shock mounts and other brackets will make it a no go.
Search for another brand called Air Lift. They may have the application you need. I tried these first on my 2003 with B&W and it was a no go because of the short bed?
