Just picked up my new truck from hitch installer (5er) and took my toy hauler for a test pull. Boy is the brake controller sweet. The tow/haul also is very nice. Have to wait til the 23 of this month to head to Eire PA with our trike in back for a real test. 14000 lbs Truck weighed in at 8680 lbs without me in it.

Is that 14,000 a typo? 2008 F-350 DRW has a GVWR of 13,000, and I suspect the 2009 is the same. So you have available payload for you and yours and the hitch weight of about 4,320 pounds.

Smokey sorry about the confusion but the trailer weighs just under 14000 lbs not the truck. I do have my truck registered for a GCWR of 26000 lbs the max it is listed for.

So your new tow vehicle has the TowBoss pkg with the 4.30 rear axle and 26K GCWR? If so, you should put TowBoss in your sig.
