Fith Wheel Hitches???????? help please!

Hello Guy's

Well I have researched our fith wheel hitch, we are going to go with pullRite super rails & super mounting brackets & for the hitch I realy like the TS3 air ride hitch from Trailsaver hitches in MI.
I like the rails to be under the bead or easily removed to clean the bed! The only problem with Trail saver hitch is the way it lock around the pin, it uses two pieces that close together around the pin like a clam shell leaving the trailer pulling against the opening of the latch???? where the Super 5th uses a cam that loops arount the pin only problem with the Super 5th is it is fixed (ridged mount).

Let me know if any of you are running this set up in your Rig & how do you like it.

Originaly I was thinking about the Super 5th 20.5k from PullRite & a Mor-Ride pin box, I think the Air ride hitch is the way to go.

If any one has or is using the Trailsaver TS3 with the Holland Binkly head how do you like it????

What suggestions do you recomend for the Air compressor & tank, I am also going to install Big Rig air Horns!

Thanks...........Chris

Re: Fith Wheel Hitches???????? help please!

Just pointing the thread out to you, the reason I did that is because I thought maybe you didn't see it because of where posted this thread first

I'm sure someone can help on the things you ask...

All I can point out to you is one thing and I'm not sure if it will help or not. Back when I was towing I had an 18,000lb Reese and its jaws (2 piece) did rotate over the pin and the opening (center of it) did point to the rear of the truck, I had no problems with that type of design.

Re: Fith Wheel Hitches???????? help please!

I am going with the Pullrite Super 5-25K, with a 5th airborne on the trailer The trailer has mor-ride suspension. I had previously used a Pullrite superglide on a short bed truck and like the system. I really like the how it hitches.

Re: Fith Wheel Hitches???????? help please!

Hello Dieselgem

Once again I will say, Very nice Rig!

How did you mount your rails, did you use the universal mounts or the Super rails & Super brackets??
PullRite dose not have a listing for our 2008 450, I will be calling PullRite on Monday to see if they have the super mounting system in production yet!

Thanks......Chris

Re: Fith Wheel Hitches???????? help please!

I have not had the 25k installed in the new truck yet. I spoke to pullrite early this week and the new brackets are ready. I am using the super rail mounting and having the hitch installed at Dan's in Elkhart Indiana, when I pick up the new trailer. I am finishing the back-up camera wiring and the reverse horn alert tomorrow. I will take photo's of the hitch for you when I get it installed.

Re: Fith Wheel Hitches???????? help please!

Good Morning Group!

Contacted PullRite yesterday! they informed me they do have the Super Brackets & Super rail system in stock! part # 0841 retail $675. Camping World disscounts them @ $609. Super5th 20.5 hitch retail @ $994. Camping World $899.
We have decided to go with Super5th 20.5 because of how the locking arm swings around the pin box, as far as the air ride I will install the AirBorn pin box.

Thanks for all the advice!

This waiting for our Rig is killing me!!!! I must @ least visit the Ford lot 2>3 times weakly after work, & the local Rv Lots as well!
"BTW" we traded in our Antigua travel trailer on the weekend for a "Fiver".

Thanks........Chris
