For those that have a receiver on the front of their trucks, is it usefull and easy to use(pushing a trailer vice backing up)? Also, is there a way to still mount fog lights(not factory type)? Thanks.
I like pushing trailers that have a pivoting drawbar like our combine headers use. When moving equipment around for mowing in the summer it comes in pretty handy.
I haven't built my bumper for this truck yet but when I do it will have a receiver in the front

I have a Ranch Hand winch bumper with a receiver hitch on my 96 F-250 SC 4x4. I’ve used the front receiver mostly for an anchor point for the winch cable when using a snatch block. I’ve also hitched up my flatbed equipment trailer to winch loads onto the trailer using the truck winch. I’ve never used the front hitch for spotting or maneuvering trailers, but then I’m fairly good at backing trailers.
The front receiver hitch has been a worthwhile investment for me.

I haven't used mine to push a trailer but once. I do use it for an anchor point when pulling something like a stuck car out of the sand and I use it to carry a generator mounted on a 2" square tube rack.
I wouldn't give it up.
I have no problem backing a trailer, but I do get in some tight spots with no spotter. I was just wondering if it makes it any easier. As far as winching goes, I am looking at a rear Reunell with winch mount.

I don't know about the fog lights but as for pushing a trailer as opposed to backing it. There is no comparison. It's much easier to push it. I could push my trailer into a spot with 1" on either side without any hesitation. It's like pushing a shopping cart! Besides there are many other uses for the front mounted hitch.
Thanks for the replies. I guess I will get one. As for the fog lights, I have already built some custom mounting brackets so if need be, I'll build some new ones.
