Going from a 250 to a 350

Anyone here with a 5th wheel move up to a 350 from a 250. Did you have to re adjust your hitch or was it pretty much the same? With timbrens, my 250 rode almost perfectly level. I'm not sure exactly how much higher this 350 is, but it is definetly higher in the rear. Thanks

Re: Going from a 250 to a 350

Ford sells a "lowering kit" to lower a 350 to a 250's height. It contains new shorter blocks and U bolts. I had to install these aon customers trucks that had low 5th wh trailers being towed by 350's

I changed from a 92 f250 to a 02 f350 sw with the same 5th. I chose to "flip" the axles which gained about 6 inches or so and that made everthing ride level. I have found that the change was a win/win situation. I really like the trailer higher in so many ways and find nothing bad about it.

Re: Going from a 250 to a 350

Are you talking 5er or TT? SRW or DRW?
