..I'm running the scorpions right now and was about to ask the same question. They are "E" rated at 3415 lb. each at 16". I just got them and haul a slide-in camper so I'm real curious if any one knows how well they do under heavy highway use. Thanks for the information!

Toyo M55's. I would never run Pirelli's in a non PC application, and I have run Michelins before and they work well but will cost a bit more. I won't run scorpions, BFG's, etc on a truck tow tire.

Michelin LTX is mentioned several times on this thread. The only "E" rated tire is the LTX A/S.
Note that Michelin has several other "LTX" versions, so make sure you get the right one.

Yep. According to their web site, Michelin has three different LTX tires. The M/S is available in both load range C and E, the A/S are only in load range E, and the A/T are only available in load range C.
Their web site also shows Michelin's ratings for each style in 6 different categories. It makes some interesting reading, and reinforces the fact that tire design is all about tradeoffs. For example, a tire that has good traction in mud isn't likely to be quiet or provide good cornering.
I just put 4 LTX/MS on mine...load range E . They appear to be have a slightly smaller footprint than the BFG's that came off but seem to remain round and roll easily. No compaints so far but no snowstorms either so.....
If they are like all the others I've used since the first set of Michelin X's on the VW in 1970 I will be quite satisfied.

Those are the tires I have and they are great. Even in severe snow
storms they work very well. Right after I bought them a few
years ago I was caught in a severe snow/ice storm coming back
from a funeral in NC. I was in 4X4 from the southern OH border
almost all the way to MI. Massive amounts of front drivers in the
ditches and difficult to walk on road due to a lot of snow with
a good layer of ice underneath. The truck ran like it was on rails.
Yes, I'm very pleased with them. I'm not an off-roader/mudder type though.

A number of mods ordered from DaleI. Nice round replacement DP. FS2500 by-pass oil filter installed. Fumoto drain valve. Tymar Intake installed! HX mod from Tymar installed. TFI fillneck kits installed. Auto-Rx cleaner in engine & transmission done. Switched from Rotella dino to Rotella synthetic. Amsoil 5W-30 Series 3000 installed!
FS-2500 Bypass filter installed.
Velvet rides installed. Joe Servo IDM mod installed. Rear air lift springs.
I have had 3 sets of the LTX on my truck. I have had very good success with this tire. Mileage has been 65-70,000 per set. I have heard of guys getting 80,000. In the winter I pull a 27 ft enclosed snowmobile trailer and the LTX's do well on slick roads. The biggest asset to these tires is all the sipes that are on them. They also run quiet down the freeway and have a very good ride.

I had my Steeltex's taken off at 55k today & put on the new Goodyear Silent Armor Wranglers. (kevlar + steel belts) I liked the Steeltex's a lot.
I ran the Toyo M55's a lot but they ride so rough.
My truck is over 10k#'s, without trailer & I tow often too. I drive on rock/gravel more than pavement it seems. Construction sites etc.
In only 75 miles, I love the way these Goodyears ride.
I'll put 2000+ miles on them this week, a good test.
Put 3000+ miles on my new Good-year Silent Armor Wranglers since the 9th. WOW! So quiet & smooth! Really really great in West Texas mud/clay too! I love em!!! When on a concrete interstate at 75mph, you can see the expansion joints & feel them a little but there's almost no sound. It's weird & wonderful.
