Goodyear Wrangler AT/S 275/65R20 good for towing?

I would like to hear about good or bad experiences with these tires. I plan to tow an 8k 5er.

Thanks

I have used these tires in 265/75/R16 for many years and I have had 0 problems with the tires. Wheel weights dont want to stay on but thats not the tire's fault.

Your '99 has a 3.73 rear axle ratio, which is fine for towing an 8k fiver with stock-size tires. But when you mount those tires that are equivalent to 35s in diameter, your effective rear axle ratio changes to about 3.42, or very long legs.

So I wouldn't say those tires are great for towing 8k, unless you have already changed to a 4.10 rear axle ratio.

Of course, if you stay out of hills and mountains, then they may be great tires.

i towed around 7500 tt with my 285s ats goodyears, they did great, i made the mistake switching over to 35 toyo tires, way too tall for towing, they do ok on the flats ,but up hills they kill the power, gonna go back to my old ats good years next trip. they are still out in my shed with around half tread. pluss with the 35s i lost around 2 mpgs.
