Gooseneck air ride hitch

Has anyone ever used one of the air ride hitches on their gooseneck trailer?
If so, what is your opinion. Do they make much of a difference? I am looking at the following model for my 4 horse trailer.

http://www.airsafehitches.com/gooseneck_hitches.html

Thanks
Ken

Re: Gooseneck air ride hitch

I've never used anything like that. But I've seen similar type units. The one linked below is from popuphitch.com. I would guess that these type of devices might help some.

Here's another one

I am currently using popuphitch's extended coupler to set my trailer back 9". They didn't have the extended cushion coupler when I ordered my extension.

I might have just found something for Santa to bring me!

WKW, I guess nobody has any experience with these things. If you decide to get one please let me know what you think of it.

Re: Gooseneck air ride hitch

I have an airride hitch for my goose neck and love it.saves the trailer and smoother ride for me in the truck.only thing is I built mine myself. It stays with the truck and is not built on the trailer.Reason being is If I have to borrow a trailer my truck is the problem not the trailer so I don't want to tear up someone elses trailer.Plus it is also self leveling since I have air brakes so no worries about how much air to put in and have had close to 8k on the tongue towing with it.It is super HD has over 20k in tow miles now and no problems.Plus it can be moved to other vehiles if I need to and is compatable to the 'rail system' of mounting.Stan

Re: Gooseneck air ride hitch

I got one of these for our three horse trailer and love it. It greatly reduced the bucking and jerking.

Price is right and it is very well made.

Re: Gooseneck air ride hitch

That is much less costly than the popuphitch cushioned coupler. But I didn't see a cushioned extended coupler.

Re: Gooseneck air ride hitch

I have one on order being sent to the dealer we purchased our new trailer from. The new trailer is to arrive right before Christmas and we will be picking it up between Boxing Day and New Years.
