Gooseneck hitch for 93 F250 - hole in the bed already - Diesel Forum

i need to get a gooseneck hitch for my 93 F250 - problems is, there is already a big ol hole where the other (i assume) came out. what brands will work for this situation?

Crawl under the truck and see if the hitch is still there. When I bought my truck used, they removed the ball and put a drop-in bedlinder in. The hitch is there, just no ball.

yeah, i already looked, its just a hole! scared me the first time i was walking in the bed and the liner gave in!!!!!

Does the B&W have a plate to fill the hole?

The B&W's and the more modern ones just take a small round hole. If your bed has about a 10"X10" piece cut out, it probably had the Atwood Hide-a-Ball type like I've got. I always save the bed piece I cut out, then gas weld it back in when I sell my truck. If worse comes to worse, you could have a junk yard torch you out a piece from a wrecked truck, then get it cut to the correct size, then gas welded in, then cut the small round hole for the new hitch.
