GVWR ???

I posted over in the 6.0 forum but thought I'd go here also with this. I'm looking at a new 06 F350 4x4 PSD CC T/S and the posted GVWR is 10000 pounds on this rig where all the other trucks I've looked at have a GVWR of 11500. I have now, an 04 with a door jamb sticker of 9900 pounds and it does fine with the 13000 pound 5er. My question here is, what am I giving up on this 10000 pound GVWR package? It is more than my current truck isn't it? Thanks very much!!

Re: GVWR ???

sounds like it was ordered for registration reasons...does that aplly in your state...like if the gvwr is less than or equal to 10k then you dont have to pay more taxes and/or cheaper plates...if that doesnt than unless it was a super super deal i would pass...i am not sure if it comes with different springs but i would confirm this before i would listen to any salesman and the legality of being overweight is not worth it anymore with lawyers and more than capable trucks
