I need a hitch for my F-450 dump. Right now there is nothing on the back, just a plate of steel to bolt one to. I want to tow my car carrying trailer behind it, which has a fairly low tounge and requires a 2 5/16 ball. I could just bolt on one of those combination pintle/ball hitches, but the lowest I could mount it would still not be low enough.
Do they make some kind of bolt on receiver for a dump truck, so that I could use a regulal ball-mount drop hitch (about 8-9" so that the trailer would be level, and the back wouldn't scrape the ground)
Any suggested on how I could tow this with my dump, and have the trailer level?
Thanks
Check all the popular manufacturers for something that would work. If they don't have anything that will work, and you are a proficient fabricator, make something that suits your needs.

I have seen this very same question asked numerous times on different truck, and welding forums. The general answer is custom built. Either by a hitch shop, or welding shop.
Here is one I built for my F-550 dump.
